Since sharing my paintings on the net, I have been extremely fortunate in being befriended by some quite phenomenal artists. It means a great deal to me that such accomplished professionals have considered my work worthy of their attention. One in particular, Denis Peterson has had such a profound effect on me that I wonder how different my path as an artist might have been, had I not been blessed by his support, encouragement and friendship. My paintings of children were painted from photographs either taken by, or under the tutelage of ,Trevor Obery. I find Trevor's portraits extremely moving, both beautiful and terrible as he somehow seems to show us the very souls of the children he tries to help in the war-torn DRC. Trevor has photographs scattered across the web, a some can be seen on his deviantART site.
